Our frozen custard pies and cakes should be kept frozen until 15-minutes before serving. Some find it easy to run a butcher's knife under hot water between cuts.

Every pie and cake starts with fresh frozen custard made in our specialty custard machine, featuring a long stainless steel barrel designed to create an extra-dense and creamy texture. Each dessert is then placed in our hard-working hardening cabinets, held at –30 degrees, to lock in every layer and deliver a remarkably fresh, smooth texture you won’t find anywhere else.
Unfortunately, at this time we do not ship orders. We only have pickup from our shop at 6500 NW HWY, Unit A, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
Yes, we allow for customization of pies and cakes. We allow for customized messaging on some items (based on how it is made not all). Please note that the addition of extra toppings may incur a charge.
Absolutely, call us from 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday to ask cake or bulk related questions.
Keep frozen until 15-minutes before serving. This will allow time for the dessert to thaw and make it easier to cut. Thicker layer cakes or birthday cakes may take longer.
Our cakes can take up to 3-business days to be made, so if you need it faster, you'll have to call to see if we can get it done or choose from a great selection our freezer. Staff can put an option aside for your pickup date.

We have rock-hard cakes and pies from our well-maintained freezers. This map shows the recommended pickup radius for transporting cakes and pies from our shop while keeping them frozen during the hottest part of summer. Within this area, our large insulated bags help your order stay frozen on the drive home and ready for your freezer.
For longer trips, many customers bring a cooler with ice or dry ice. We also offer large insulated bags for purchase at the shop. Dry ice is readily available at local grocery stores, including Jewel.
